Week 38 (23 Feb 2016) - Development – Color Adjustment

Color options is the most popular method to create personal video style. We use the CIFilter form Core Image to create this function. The video will be broken down into frame image and apply the color adjustment. Then the video will be rendered form their own device. CIFilter provides rich option for color adjustments like brightness, contrast, saturation and levels. It can create a wide range of visual for video creators.

Week 37 (16 Feb 2016) - Prepare Midterm Presentation and Critique

We are organizing all our works for the midterm presentation. We want to demonstrate the prototype of Web Share, the connection from native app and the capability of multi mobile devices. 99% of popular mobile device should get the same and coherent experience from Web Share including iOS devices, Android device and Windows 10 for Mobile devices. This ensure most of the viewer can watch the video form their favourite creator.

Week 36 (9 Feb 2016) - Development – Web Share – Connect to Mobile App

The settings of Web Share for content creators is directly from the app. In order to provide a smoother workflow for creators, we want to move all the back stage settings of Web Share into native app. We are creating the connection form the app to the backend of Web Share.

It is better to build a native settings page than just embed the web page into the app. The better response and performance enhance the UX.

Week 35 (2 Feb 2016) - Development – Web Share – Layout Design for Mobile Devices

After the design of desktop layout, the most popular video platform is on cell phones. We are optimizing the layout in to smaller screen and responsive with different screen sizes. We are trying to bring all features that works on desktop to mobile in order to enhance the usability of Web Share on mobile.
